Our Story
The Saskatoon Knights of Columbus opened Blackstrap Youth Camp in 1972. For over 50 years, BYC has provided a welcoming faith-centred camp that offers youth a unique opportunity to grow in their spirituality by experiencing God through nature and the various activities planned throughout the camp.
- BYC offers week-long camps in July for elementary school children aged 8 - 13.
- Each week of camp starts on a Sunday afternoon, and concludes on the Friday afternoon of that same week.
- BYC offers Rentals in May, June, August, September, and October
Our Mission
To plan, contribute, establish, and maintain an educational, cultural, social, and recreational facility for young persons, regardless of race, colour, creed, or economic or social position.
To establish training facilities and training programs to develop citizenship and leadership qualities and abilities in young persons.
To stimulate idealism in young people, following Judeo-Christian philosophy and morality.
To cooperate with all agencies, governments or departments on any level, groups, clubs or organizations with similar objects or purposes.
