Virtual Camp Registration

What is Virtual Camp?

Blackstrap Youth Camp has chosen to develop a Virtual Camp Program, in order to support our camp community remotely. Campers who register for our Virtual Camp Webinars will have the opportunity to participate in some traditional camp activities from home, while seeing some familiar faces from Camp!

  • Using Virtual Webinars, Blackstrap Youth Camp will be hosting virtual camp activities 3-4 times per week for campers, usually on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays!
  • Each webinar will run anywhere from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on the activity!
  • Our virtual camp season will follow our traditional camp season, so Webinars will run from July 6th 2020 – August 7th 2020.
  • These Webinars will be hosted by BYC Staff, who will lead campers through traditional camp activities such as:
    • Bracelet Making
    • Tie-Dye
    • Variety Night
    • Praise & Worship
    • Testimonials
    • Rosaries
    • Counselor Q&A
  • A full schedule of the Webinars can be found on the website’s calendar, so campers can know exactly what’s happening and when
  • Registering for Virtual Camp will also add you to our Virtual Camp Mailing List so that you can receive weekly updates on activities planned for the coming week!
  • Campers are NOT required to attend every Webinar, just whichever ones they choose!

What should I know before registering for Virtual Camp 2020?

  • Campers will need access to a functional smartphone/computer that can support a Virtual Conference platform in order to be able to view the Virtual Camp Webinars. 
  • Registration will grant the camper access to ALL Virtual Camp Webinars for the entire camp season, from July 6th 2020 to August 7th 2020.
  • Each registration completed BEFORE June 15th, will receive a Camp Care Package to use during the webinars and a Camp T-Shirt at the end of the summer!
  • Each registration confirms ONE Camp Care Package and ONE Camp T-Shirt. If you have multiple campers living in the same household, each camper must be registered separately in order to receive Camp Materials and a Camp T-Shirt.
  • This year, in order to support our camp community, we have chosen to allow a Name Your Price option for Virtual Camp 2020. The price shown in registration is the minimum amount, but registrants are able to put in their own price. Any amount left with us over the minimum amount will be considered a donation and will be eligible for a tax receipt (over $20). For example, if you choose to name your price at $70, you will receive a tax-receipt for $20!
  • PLEASE NOTE: All registrations fees & donations go directly back into what we can offer this year during Virtual Camp!
