Camp COVID-19 Update

As you all know, the novel coronavirus known as COVID-19 has been
spreading globally since having originated in Wuhan, China in December of
2019. Since then, cases have been appearing in Canada, and the federal
government as well as our provincial government have taken quick action
to minimize the spread of COVID-19. The spread of this disease has
affected many parts of everyday life, including the indefinite closure of all K-
12 schools in the province of Saskatchewan.

While it is too early to predict what the BYC season will look like this year,
rest assured, we are doing all we can in the time being to make the safety
of our camp community our top priority. As of right now, registration will
remain open for the 4 weeks of camp scheduled from July 5 to July 31. We
will be monitoring the situation closely as things develop, using only the
most credible sources. As the situation becomes clearer, we will provide
regular updates through our social media platforms as well as on our
website.

We appreciate the understanding and patience of our camp community at
this time. Information concerning COVID-19 is rapidly changing every day,
but BYC values consistent and transparent communication regarding how
these changes will affect camp in the 2020 season. All in all, please stay
tuned for updates regarding the camp season, and take of yourselves as
well as those around you. Any questions or concerns can be sent via email
to campblackstrap@gmail.com.

God Bless,

Blackstrap Youth Camp Board of Directors
